Version 1.0
Expected Release Date: 2011

It’s 1943. The world is at war…and so are you. Whether you just finished basic training or have been a soldier since the last war, you will soon be on the front lines. Every day you will fight for your life and the lives of the men in your squad. For days without sleep and weeks without a decent meal, you fight together and die together. And, sometimes, you feel like you’re part of a dice game – there’s no logic behind the path of a bullet, and you just never know when your numbers going to come up. Keep your head down and stay moving. On fronts all around the world, from Europe to North Africa and Saipan to the Philippines, it’s the same…brave soldiers kill, and are killed… now it’s your turn…
The Front is a World War II multi-player squad-level table-top game, designed to be played with 1/72 scale (HO) miniatures (15mm to 30mm will also work). The players in the game control squad sized units of 8 to12 soldier models, as they attempt to complete missions by attacking the other player(s) units and keeping their own soldiers alive.
Each player selects squads and vehicles from Tables of Organization, which include information for squad, platoon, and company sized units. Specifications are provided for U.S., British, Russian, German, Italian, and Japanese soldiers and vehicles. The weapons, quality, durability and morale of each unit are represented in a way that balances the speed of the game and the level of realism. Players may customize squads and vehicles based on the missions and rules provided. Players may also attach special units to their squads for support and call-in artillery and air-strikes.
As a squad completes missions, it gains experience and the surviving soldiers advance in rank and skill.
The game will take from two to four hours to play, depending on the number of miniatures you use while playing the scenario.
Each player must provide miniatures representing units from the army that he would like to play.
