2008 | Several inter-planetary probes leave the Solar Systems outer edges, start to pass through the Kuiper Belt and Oort Cloud, and begin their journey into Deep Space. |
2010's | Space Tourism grows - Individual nations and private corporations begin work on space platforms - Construction of Manned Inter-planetary Spacecraft begins. |
2018 | Second series of landings on the Moon. |
2025 | First manned mission to Mars fails. |
2032 | First humans land on Mars. |
2040's | Independent Lunar bases open (United States, China, ESA, Islamic Union). |
2058 | Construction starts on first Martian Base (International Program). |
2059 | First International Lunar Base opens. |
2067 | Fourth World War (Terran). Space-based Weapons used for the first time against Terran and Lunar targets. Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, and Beam weapons are employed on both planets. Approximately 1/8 of the Earths human population is killed, or eventually dies, over a 6 month period (865,000,000). |
2067 | Construction of Mars base halted. |
2068 | Planet wide halt to space exploration. |
2071 | Many countries are in a state of chaos, with civil war or martial law the norm. Economies are wrecked, jobs are few, and in some areas food is scarce. Local governments around the world are unable to deal with the havoc caused by the war. |
2078 | First planetary government begins to be adopted around the planet Earth. Within four years most countries are included under the umbrella of the new Terran Global Administration. |
2081 | The new Earth government begins enforcing global laws around the planet. |
2085 | A series of minor up-risings occurs in many smaller countries. The Global Administration works quickly to resolve these conflicts peacefully, wherever possible. |
2088 | More than 80% of Earth is under Administration control. |
2090 | Terran Space Agency founded. |
2093 | Terran Space Agency restarts Mars base program. |
2096 | Lunar Bases expanded. Construction starts on first Lunar Colony. |
2098 | Third round of Inter-planetary exploration begins, with a series of manned missions to the Asteroid Belt, Jupiter, and Saturn. |
